Black and White Beauty

Now that we're back in the country and hanging out with our okie friends (lol), we don't just have park days or educational field trips. These are backwoods country people! They have pellet gun parties! I admit, I don't like guns but after living here for a while, I caved and bought my boys not true pellet guns, but air-soft guns, which are about as safe as they get. The kids were decked out in full camo gear (some of them), they had all kinds of elaborate safety gear and they had a BLAST.

After setting that scene, I will say that I didn't take any pictures of the wild boys, lol. The adults stayed in the house or supervised the little ones near the trampoline and kiddie pool so I didn't venture out and risk losing an eye.

I was, however, captivated by a little cutie and her mom.

Here is the little chub in the kiddie pool.

This one was my absolute favorite. I love the light and her pensive expression. I burned the shadows around her for a dramatic look. I learned that little trick here. http://crunchyphotoblog.blogsome.com/

That child is so cute!! Your description of the country days sounds hilarious, and a little too familiar to me. I've got country folk in my family ;)

I hope you guys are well, it's been a while! Thanks for posting the tip on burning foliage, I'll have to try that.
